ITALY OFF THE BEATEN PATH
Small Group Private Tours of
Lesser Known Areas of Italy
Have you been to Italy? Perhaps you’ve toured Rome, Venice, Florence and the beautiful country so rich in history and charming culture. But have you really had an Italian experience?

Montecalvo & Ferrario Small Group Italian Tours offers a real Italian experience with “off the beaten track” visits to less traveled places where you’ll have a unique opportunity to glimpse a bit of everyday Italian life. Featured are trips to Italian farms and vineyards where everything consumed is grown and prepared on the premises. You’ll be truly charmed by your Italian hosts and have occasion to learn from professionals as well as home chefs. Wine tasting and cooking have never been as intimate or as real.
Michael Montecalvo has been a successful restaurateur for the past 20 years, both in Italy and the United States, where he developed, managed and owned several restaurants (Peppe’s, Café Espresso and Trattoria 89 Centrale) emphasizing Italian regional cuisine. In Italy, Michael has also managed Resort Centers in the Puglia Region on the Adriatic Coast (Gargano).
Angela Ferrario works with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, Italy and the organization Reggio Children. As the U.S. Liaison for Study Tours, Angela has been organizing tours and accompanying groups to Italy since 1990.

Montecalvo & Ferrario Small Group Italian Tours was created in response to the many requests we received from local friends and clients who are aware of our knowledge about Italy. Our individual achievements, interests and skills, our passion for Italy and our desire to offer others the possibility to discover what we have come to know and love made Montecalvo & Ferrario Small Group Italian Tours a destined collaboration.
Our trips will be informative, fun and comfortable. Weeklong stays with groups of no more than 12 will prove to be truly inspiring and relaxing. Feel like part of a family and make your trip to Italy one you’ll never forget.
Ciao!
